In December 2015, Michael and Angie met with Destination America and agreed to film the show's sixth season. They started airing only reruns of the show in October of 2014. They picked up the show for their network but did not film any new content. The news was devastating to the couple, but Michael soon found hope in another Reelz Channel network. After the fire, the truTV network announced on Twitter that they would not renew a contract with Michael and Angie for any more seasons of the reality television show.
